Tour Overview

The seven-day wildebeest migration camping safari tour takes you to Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater. The safari will take you around the best places in Tanzania, visiting places such as Lake Manyara which is famous for its tree-climbing lions, the Ngorongoro Crater which is also known as the Garden of Eden, and Serengeti National Park for a chance to see the great wildebeest migration while crossing the Mara River. Finally, you will visit Tarangire National Park.

Day 1 : Arusha National Park
Day 1 Arrival in Arusha Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be met by your driver and transferred to the Arusha Town Hotel for overnight. Settle into your accommodation and get ready to start your safari in the morning.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, we will pick you up and proceed to Tarangire National Park. It is one of the largest national parks in Tanzania and is located in the Manyara region. The place is characterized by the large herds of elephants, tree-climbing lions, and the fascinating baobab trees - also called the "tree of life" for its almost mythical powers that some cultures attach to it. This park is especially well known for the Tarangire River which flows all year round and the only source of water for wild animals. In the evening, you will exit the park and drive to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Karatu to Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro crater rim
In the early morning, go on an en-route game drive to Serengeti with lunch inside the Jeep. On the way, you will see the beautiful Rift Valley and have a view of the Ngorongoro Crater. You will arrive at around 15h00. Enjoy a late game drive in Central Serengeti and view the sunset. You will have dinner and overnight at the Seronera Serengeti. Major attractions in Serengeti are the endless plains and the great wildebeest migration which involves 1.5 million herbivores and predators. They move from one area to another through almost all parts of the Serengeti because of drought. Our driver guide will make sure that you see a part of the wildebeest migration, the movement of vast numbers of the Serengeti’s wildebeest accompanied by large numbers of zebra and smaller numbers of Grant’s gazelle, Thomson’s gazelle, eland, and impala. After a late game drive, you will drive back to your lodge.
Day 4 - 5: The Great Wildebeest Migration
After a delicious breakfast, you will set out on an exciting game drive through the Serengeti as you head north, chasing after the awe-inspiring Great Migration. Your destination will be the Mara River, where you'll have the opportunity to witness the dramatic river crossing of over a million wildebeest in their search for greener pastures. As the sun sets, you will return to the campsite for a hearty dinner and a restful overnight stay. The Great Migration is a natural phenomenon that is not to be missed. Witnessing millions of wildebeest cross the Mara River on the Serengeti plains is an incredible experience that is sure to leave you in awe. As the largest overland migration in the world, this is a once-in-a-lifetime travel opportunity that you won't want to miss. And it's not just wildebeests, the Great Migration also features zebras, gazelles and other wildlife in search of food and water. You don't want to miss out on this unforgettable adventure.
Day 6 Northern - Central Serengeti National Park
You will start your day with a satisfying breakfast before embarking on an unforgettable game drive through the Serengeti. As you head north in search of the Great Migration, you should keep your eyes open for some of Africa's most magnificent wildlife. Your ultimate destination will be the Mara River, where you'll have the chance to witness an amazing spectacle, millions of wildebeest crossing the river in search of greener pastures. After a thrilling day of game driving, you will return to the campsite for a delicious dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 7 : Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha
After enjoying a scrumptious breakfast, you will pack a picnic lunch and depart from the campsite to explore the stunning Ngorongoro Crater. As you descend into the caldera, prepare to be awestruck by the incredible diversity of wildlife and the towering walls that surround this natural wonder. The Ngorongoro Crater offers a rare opportunity to see all of Africa's Big Five, along with hundreds of bird species and other fascinating wildlife. Additionally, you'll have the chance to witness the Maasai tribesmen living amongst the wild animals, adding a unique cultural aspect to your visit.
